Well, if anyone from A-Net is reading this thread (and I sincerely hope Gaile is) the best solution would be to mod the game to allow more ways to add to the lucky track. They've already started doing this so just continue the idea.

1. Playing ring games increases the Lucky/Unlucky title
2. Getting 15% by using a clover increases the Lucky track
3. Eating a golden egg increases the Lucky track
4. Successfully retaining a lockpick increases the Lucky track
5. Breaking a lockpick increases the Unlucky track

Did I miss any?

Ok then....
6. Finding a gold weapon in a locked chest increases the lucky track
7. Finding a purple weapon in a high end chest increases the Unlucky track
8. Getting a Black Dye/White Dye/Ecto/Obsidian Shard/Ruby/Diamond/ Sapphire/Gold Drop increases the lucky track
9. A person leaves your team in the middle of a mission increases the Unlucky track. (Nah, too exploitable. A nice thought though)

It most certainly is a case of 'silver platter'. You're upset that it's taking too long to max the title.

PS - No, I wasn't trying to be funny. It was an effective way to illustrate my point. You'll know when I'm trying to be funny.

I rather like the idea of lucky title increases based on chest findings and rare item drops.

Maybe along side TheRaven's idea the lucky title can help increase chances of a drop? Even if it's ever so slight, a bonus would really be worthwhile

I thought it would be nice to have the lucky/unlucky points gain by saving/losing lockpicks based on how lucky/unlucky you have been. If you keep a lockpick when there is not much chance of you doing so then it would suggest you are more lucky than if you keep one when you do have a good chance of keeping it, and if you lose one when you have a good chance of keeping it then you are more unlucky.

For example: 20% chance of keeping a pick and you do – 800 points to lucky, lose it - 20 points to unlucky. 65% chance to keep – 450 points to lucky if kept, 65 point to unlucky if lost.

Meh, this seems like a decent idea at first, but youre gonna wind up with an inverse realationship, whereas both the lucky and unlucky titles become more unobtainable.

ie, you have r5 luck, and r6 treasure, youll have great chance to retain, so, youll get low luck points almost everytime. And though youd get a large amount of unlucky if it breaks, you wont break hardly any.

On my own little topic, I think that they just dont want account based titles maxable within any reason. Hero is r15, what a joke, one person might get it before GW dies. Max alliance title is a joke too, only a handful have it. I believe those are the only 3 "maxable" account titles. But, pulling this lucky title crap upsets me, and Im sick of the responses saying "YOU chose to grind, you didnt have to" Well yes, we did chose to grind, to get a max title. Had we known we couldnt max it, there wouldve been ~14-89 people on 9 rings, not 98% of GW.

/start another title, so that I can max 25, now that lucky has failed me.

I guess even after 6 pages we aren't going to get an official response from anet.
